Description
The Department of Decision and Information Sciences (DISC) in C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston seeks qualified applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Supply Chain Management (SCM) starting in the Fall of 2023. Ideal candidates ' experience or research will relate to strategic areas of focus for the College particularly business analytics and healthcare administration. Desired applicants will also be boundary spanners within other areas of our department (MIS and BZAN). Experience in mentoring women and minorities in STEM fields is desirable. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in SCM or a closely related discipline; applicants with a research emphasis on empirical research and big data-related methods, will be strongly preferred. A hired applicant will have the potential to (a) publish in top-tier and highly respected journals, (b) contribute to the mentoring and development of Ph.D. students and (c) teach graduate and undergraduate courses.
