Job Description Details:

The Supply Chain Global Planning Lead will partner with the Plan and Supply chain organizations to build, enhance and support SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization -Demand Planning (APO DP) and OM Partners - DP applications along with coordination, scheduling and execution of platform releases for our projects and enhancements.

He/She will be responsible for the design and delivery of Supply Chain Planning Projects and integration with other systems which requires the use of specialized technical & functional knowledge.

This role requires a combination of advanced planning business process knowledge and technology expertise specially on APO DP side. This role will report directly to the Global Planning Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads Design and Delivery of SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO DP), and OM Partners DP solutions. This role requires a broad in-depth knowledge of Planning business processes and integration with SAP, APO DP and Non SAP Systems while following approved J&J standard policies and procedures (e.g. SDLC, Agile, IAPP, etc.).
  • Responsible for reviewing user stories, preparing user story functional document specifications, review technical specifications and coordinate required development activities. Leads to create or modify system specifications or test scripts to complete project implementation.
  • The incumbent will be responsible to configure SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO DP) and OM Partners DP systems with the functionality defined in the business requirements and participate in integration and user acceptance testing of RICEF's.
  • Leads the assessment of the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and provides appropriate recommendations based on industry trends and existing design.
  • Manage the TS project budget for the delivery of the service and be responsible for reporting on service performance to leadership and customers.
  • Captures customer insights to improve Supply Chain Planning projects throughout design & delivery and delivers continuous improvement recommendations to service owners. Conduct impact analysis on process/tools coming from new/enhanced services.
  • Assists in knowledge transfer to team members and organizations after successful delivery of the service.
  • Performs assessments of customer demand and partners with order analysts to deliver estimates and quotes for Business Unit IT and Business partners
  • Plan, select, and schedule approved vendors to deliver the service. Oversee the work of vendor resources throughout a project. Provide guidance and expertise to team members in executing the projects/enhancements.
  • Develop service improvement plans and/or run service improvement initiatives
  • Applies compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provides documentation as necessary, and participates in compliance activities as required.
  • Perform industry benchmarking to identify external and internal trends and innovation related to the service strategy and design. Interact with multi-functional teams, including ADEPT services, to ensure complete delivery of solutions. Collaborate and Integrate with Release Planning and Management services and platforms.


Qualifications

Required:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Technology or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of Information Technology experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience in advanced planning applications such as SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO DP), OM Partners DP or similar experience
  • The Supply Chain Global Planning Lead must also understand the service lifecycle, plan for and execute that end-to-end lifecycle
  • The Supply Chain Global Planning Lead requires a solid background in work estimation, and execution to facilitate scope estimation.
  • A demonstrated understanding of Supply Chain business processes
  • The ability to lead a team of professionals and external consultants
  • Problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Up to 25% Travel may be required


Preferred:
  • Advanced understanding of J&J I/T's technology standards and strategies
  • Experience supporting businesses within Medical Device, Consumer industry is highly desirable.
  • Standout colleague with good communication skills and be customer oriented, aiming at effective collaboration with internal and external partners
  • The Supply Chain Global Planning Lead requires a solid background in work estimation, and execution to facilitate scope estimation.
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC processes
  • Possesses capability to able to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to management effectively
  • Possesses good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with others with little supervision
